About the service

UX audit services give you an expert review of how visitors use your website or web app — and why they don’t become customers. We walk the path from the first screen to a request or purchase and pinpoint where people get lost, hesitate, or leave. It makes sense when you have traffic but few leads, before a redesign, or right after launch.

A UX/UI designer with 8+ years on strong product teams leads the audit. We combine Nielsen’s heuristics, walkthroughs of key user flows, and GA4 data if you share access, while our developer sizes up every fix so the plan stays realistic. We did similar work for the online store Air Soft Shop: in a UX redesign, we simplified checkout and catalog filters.

You get a report with annotated screenshots, prioritized issues, and specific fixes, starting with quick wins. If needed, we prototype key screens in Figma, and we can make the changes ourselves or hand the plan to your team.

Website UX audit checklist: what we check

A website UX audit covers everything that stands between a visitor and a request or purchase:

  • Navigation and structure — how easy it is to find a service, product, or price;
  • First screen and offer — whether it’s clear within seconds what you offer, who it’s for, and what to do next;
  • Forms, cart, and checkout — extra fields, steps, and errors that make people give up;
  • Mobile experience — button sizes, menus, forms, and usability on a small screen;
  • Perceived speed — how fast the first screen appears and whether the page jumps while loading;
  • Trust signals — reviews, case studies, guarantees, contacts, and prices where people look for them;
  • Copy and buttons — whether the copy sounds like your customers and each button says what happens next;
  • Accessibility basics — contrast, font size, form labels, and keyboard navigation.

UX audit vs. SEO audit: what’s the difference

A UX audit looks at your site through a customer’s eyes, while an SEO audit looks at it through a search engine’s: the first explains why visitors don’t convert, the second why the site doesn’t get traffic from Google.

A UX audit complements, but doesn’t replace, a technical SEO audit (how Google sees your site) and a Google and AI visibility audit (whether search and AI answers mention you). For a full website audit, pair the UX audit with the technical SEO audit.

What you get: the UX audit report and fix plan

A UX audit delivers a report your designer and developer can start working from the next day — not a slide deck of general advice.

  • issues grouped by flow and screen, each with a priority: critical, important, or can wait;
  • annotated screenshots of the desktop and mobile versions;
  • for each issue, what to change and why, backed by a heuristic or analytics data;
  • an effort estimate for every fix from our developer;
  • a separate list of quick wins that don’t require a redesign;
  • a walkthrough call with your team.

If the problems are systemic and spot fixes won’t solve them, we redesign the key screens as part of our UI/UX design service.

What's included

A usability audit of key screens against Nielsen’s 10 usability heuristics.

A conversion audit of your forms and checkout to pinpoint the fields and steps where people drop off.

We test every flow on a phone: menus, buttons, forms, and speed.

Analytics data

GA4, Search Console, and session recordings, if you have them, show exactly where people leave.

Figma prototype

When needed, we redesign key screens so you can see the solution before development.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a UX audit cost?

We quote a UX audit after the brief — a free consultation where we agree on the scope. The price depends on how many key flows and screens we review, the type of project (a service website, an online store, or a SaaS product), and whether you need a Figma prototype. We lock in the price and timeline before work starts.

How long does a UX audit take?

From 5 business days. The timeline depends on the number of flows and pages, access to your analytics, and whether we prototype key screens in Figma: an online store or SaaS product with many flows takes longer than a landing page. We give you the exact timeline together with the price after the brief.

What access do you need for a UX audit?

Your site’s URL is enough to start: most usability issues are visible without any access. The audit gets more precise with view access to GA4 and Search Console, and to session recordings or heatmaps if you already use a tool like Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar. Our Google Analytics–certified specialist reviews the data. For a web app or SaaS product, we’ll also need a test account.

Can you audit a site built by another team?

Yes. It doesn’t matter who built the site or on what — WordPress, Shopify, React, or custom code. We write the report so your developers can work from it on their own, without us. And a fresh pair of eyes often catches what your team has stopped noticing.

Can you implement the fixes too?

Yes. We handle design and development in one team, so we can make the changes from the report ourselves — from quick wins to redesigning screens in Figma and building them. If you prefer, your own team can implement the changes from the report. You decide how to proceed after the walkthrough.

Do you run UX audits for web apps and SaaS?

Yes. Besides websites, we audit web apps, SaaS products, and customer portals. We review sign-up and onboarding, core workflows, settings, empty states, and error messages — on both desktop and mobile. For that, we need a test account populated with realistic data.
